Rio Tinto Aluminium Smelter, Bell Bay, Tasmania

Rio Tinto installed 300 high bay 250W HPS Active Reactor lights into their first pot line at their Bell Bay aluminium smelter in Tasmania in 2009. A further 300 Active Reactor light were installed into their second pot line in early 2011. This is a very hostile environment and the Active Reactors have been used to achieve energy savings and achieve lamp life extension.
